MrWhite and aspiringkiwi we were work visa holders and domestic student visa holders noon so di kami nakapag PDOS. We were given 10kg additional allowance ng Qantas sa Makati. 10kg each x 4. malaking bagay din. Book kayo via their ticketing office sa Makati. It's quite convenient kasi wala naman masyadong tao. Hi PK team! We plan to schedule PDOS by next week. Me and my wife have already an RV. Ngfile kasi kami online and tinatanong yung relationship "How are you related to your petitioner/sponsor." (see attached) Ang sinelect ko is Principal. Yung question ko is anu ba yung dapat iselect sa question na How are you related to your petitioner/sponsor?" Attachments:

Hi @modm. walang option na self eh. pero tinawagan ko na ung CFO office to verify after ilang tries. Principal pla yung iseselect pag walang sponsor or petitioner.

"The one-day PDOS is a compulsory orientation to OFWs in adapting or adjusting to the work environment as well as to the culture of their country of destinations. Its primary objective is to provide OFWs with the means to cope with their new work environment especially during their first few months of working abroad. The 1-day PDOS is attended by all workers (all skills) prior to their deployment abroad."

share ko lang experience namin about PDOS last December 2016.
We initially came to Australia on working visa, I took PDOS in POEA + OEC. We flew directly from AU - NZ, holding a NZ WTR visa. We got our NZ residence here in NZ (through SMC).
When we had our vacation last December, went to CFO for PDOS (we had our PDOS prebooked online) We told them that we are already residents in NZ and currently on vacation in PH, nag ask sila nang proof, we showed them our NZ drivers license. Hindi na kami nag PDOS, they just asked us to pay the fee (around 400 pesos each IIRC), and gave us back our passports with CFO stamps.
Only took us about half an hour inside CFO kasama na yung waiting sa pila etc...
Also, good to note that if your already holding a NZ resident visa, you are not required to pay any travel tax, although they will (most likely) ask you during checkin, to go to the travel tax desk to get a confirmation

nk Good for you that you got your CFO certificate. Those Pinoys on Facebook usually advocate not to get this anymore as they think its just a money sucking mechanism of the govt.

nk exempted kayo sa PDOS kasi over 2 years living in AU and or NZ. isa lang PDOS for AU and NZ. Galing din ako CFO on 10 Jan. Took us 1.5 hours halos to complete the process for my sons. Sila lang walang CFO stickers. Kami parents nag PDOS na before. Exempted sila sa PDOS. We brought copies of their school IDs here. At least now wala na photos required sa form. We didn't book online. Walk-in lang so nag fill out pa form and pina encode pa kaya mas matagal. allune hindi naman hinihingi ang CFO sticker sa Travel tax exemption. They only check your residence visa. They issue an exemption ticket you can hand over to the ground crew staff upon check-in. Pwede ma secure yung exemption from them. Meron sa Robinsons Galleria and SM North EDSA yata. Sent from my SM-G930F using proboards

Question, ka PK: Me and my eldest son had our CFO na, together with our RV. . Now, I just applied my daughter a Visitor Visa - dependent of Residence Visa Holder so i can bring her here and then convert na lang to RV pagdating nya. Do I need to register her sa CFO too?
Thanks!

Lexington inquire ka direct sa CFO. Minsan even if hindi pa RV pero obvious na dun ang path pinapagregister na. I find that they respond quickly sa Facebook page. Last December nag respond sila sa inquiry ko and very helpful ang sumasagot Sent from my SM-G930F using proboards

Done backreading this thread. Still deciding kung uwi pa kami Pinas or diretso na kami to NZ from Dubai. Anyone recently purchase a flight from Qantas? Meron pa rin bang 10kg extra baggage allowance for first time migrant? Pero to avail this need ba magPDOS? MrWhite aspiringkiwi Which airline did you book?

Post by aspiringkiwi on Mar 5, 2017 8:36:23 GMT 12
curlytops We are taking Qantas but shipping most of our stuffs so the 30k per adult is enough for us. I think the extra allowance is something you arrange directly with the airline without PDOS. You will have your visa sticker anyway as proof. There is now an Emirates direct flight to NZ from Dubai so you might want to check it out, too. Thanks!

Thanks aspiringkiwi! Yes, there is a direct flight sa Emirates but it is way too expensive. Hehe.

curlytops mabuti pa din umuwi and spend time with family and friends muna before coming here. hindi mura pamasahe pauwi lalo kung pasko so usually 3 years bago umuuwi as a whole family. Yung iba more years unless citizen ka na pag uwi mo sa Pinas required ka pa din ng PDOS. mas hassle na yun next time kasi malamang less days ka lang sa bakasyon uwi na then mag PDOS para tapos Sent from my SM-G930F using proboards
