I think what's confusing is that those who were granted JSV will also have "Work Visa" stamped in their passport, however, this is not the same as work visa granted based on employment, sponsorship or other pathways. JSV is considered as deferred residence visa, meaning it may either end up as a resident visa (upon satisfying the condition of JSV) or be declined. JSV is therefore considered as pseudo migrant visa as you are expected to stay in NZ indefinitely upon approval of your residence visa, whereas temporary entry work visa are not considered as such, which is why PDOS is not appropriate.
Hope that helps, Anonimoose

Tama confusing talaga. Aside sa visa label sa sulat sa naia nakalagay pa na open temporary work visa ung binigay nila as a result of approved work to residence.

Suggest ko po be there at least 30-60mins before start ng seminar. No need to bring 2x2 photo if you attached it to the pre-registration form. Kung gagamit kayo ng webcam, siguraduhing maganda yung kalalabasang image or else you will need to provide photos. Sa mga may kids 12yrs and below, exempted po sila to attend the seminar.

I agree with rockst@r. Make sure to fill-up the form appropriately. Nalimutan naming i-print yung pre-filled up form so di namin maalala yung address sa NZ na pupuntahan namin (specifically the zip code). =)

Hello guys! We also had our PDOS narin but unlike most of the people here, we had ours at CFO Cebu. The office is on the 2nd floor of the Causing-Lozada Building near Plaza Independencia. They have the seminar for AU and NZ every Mondays and Wednesdays from 10-12pm. I arrived an hour before 10 to make sure I fill out all the necessary forms before proceeding to the seminar. I came in on a Monday and wala masyadong tao, at most merong mga 20 people mostly going to the US. They were very prompt naman from registration to the seminar to returning the passports. It was hassle-free. We were only 5 na nag seminar for AU and NZ, with the other 3 going to AU. Just make sure you come early kase merong ding traffic sa Cebu and bring the required docs too.

Thanks! fyi, I just went to POEA earlier today, sabi ng babae sakin sa Window 6 kelangan daw ng Repatriation clause yung contract (eventhough nung tumawag ako previously sa hotline sabi nila for Middle East lang daw yun) She gave me an Addendum form to be signed daw by my employer which includes: a. Repatriation clause b. Not sure if bakit pa kelangan ng clause na employer pa mag shoulder ng plane tickets eh hindi naman yun part ng initial agreement and I already paid and booked for my flight. I sent the Addendum form to my Employer pero I think nag hehesitate sila to sign it due to some of the clauses, and first time lang din kasi mag hire from overseas ng Employer ko.

Yung iba na nirequire got an insurance diyan malapit lang sa POEA instead of a new / revised contract. Sent from my GT-I9505 using proboards

update: I got my OEC from POEA after getting an OFW Insurance from Paramount which covers the repatriation clause. Their office is right beside POEA and you can get the insurance in about 10 minutes (I won't be surprised if some government official has some stake in the "accredited" Insurance providers). Special thanks move2nz for the advice If you do not want to hassle your employer with the POEA document, and do not mind spending the $42 USD (about PHP 1850) you could get the insurance outright before submitting your documents. Thank you also to members of pinoykiwi for all of the info in this forum!

Share k lng dn.

Hi superluckyedz! So baka hindi na kayo required mag PDOS pero pwede kayo humingi ng sticker, tama ba? sis aBiSh @admin the sticker is given only to those who have registered sa CFO. The PDOS is a requirement as part of that registration. Exemptions for PDOS exists for children (can't remember the age bracket) and those that have been living in NZ for over two years. So my understanding is hindi pwede humingi ng sticker. Also, according to our PDOS speaker, the registration, hence the CFO sticker, does not need to be renewed whatsoever EXCEPT when you become a resident for another country. If you become a resident in another country, you need to register at CFO again and attend the necessary PDOS for that specific country. Note however that since AU and NZ PDOS is one and same, you need not attend a PDOS if you move to Australia. Sent from my GT-I9505 using proboards

sooo the only way to be exempt from all the unnecessary red tape like OWWA / PDOS / CFO is to become a citizen after becoming a permanent resident tama po ba?

delacrum ibang bayaran naman yung gagawin mo dun e.g. if mag-aral sa Pinas mas mahal na or need mo na work visa if you want to work in Pinas hehehe tsaka if citizen ka bawal ka na mag may-ari ng property sa Pinas. But in theory, yes iwas ka na nun kasi citizen ka na. Hindi ka na sakop ng bansang Pinas. Sent from my GT-I9505 using proboards

hello.. nag-inquire ako about PDOS. di kasi ako nagPDOS nung pumunta rito tapos... na resident ako dito so ang tanong ko. pag-uwi ko ng pinas for vacation, kailangan ko ba magPDOS... ito po ang sagot... Please be advised that immigrants who have adjusted their status in their host country and whose stay in the said country is for 2 years or more may vail of the exemption for attending the PDOS for New Zealand bound immigrants. However, you will still be required to register your resident visa with us before your departure from the Philippines. Registration can be done any day from Mondays to Fridays, 8am to 5pm. Requirements for the registration are the following: - Original and photocopy of the passport - Photocopy of the old visa label/s and the new permanent visa label - Photocopy of old landing stamps (NZ immigration landing stamps) - Photocopy of IDs issued in New Zealand (if available, i.e. driver’s license, company ID, etc) - One passport size photograph - Submission of duly accomplished registration form (downloadable at cfo.gov.ph/pdf/downloadable%20forms/registrationform.pdf- Payment of P400.00 registration fee Or you may opt to register at our CFO-NAIA Registration Desk by calling them at 879-5685 a day before your flight and submit the above requirements on the day of your departure. Look for Mr. Mario Francisco or Lita Samonte. You will need to provide your name, visa category, flights details and phone number. baka may gustong makaalam hehe share ko lang

thatar Immigrant registration with CFO including PDOS is a Philippine policy/process that needs to be completed before leaving the country. Wala siya sa NZ. Sa Pinas mo lang pwede gawin. Sent from my GT-I9505 using proboards

thatar some people can get away with it by exiting via other countries and leaving PH as a tourist but eventually sometime later you will still need to deal with it. It's best to do it and get it over with. Sent from my GT-I9505 using proboards
