wella Silver Fern visa is a job serach visa. Pag nakakuha ka na ng employment, then you can apply for a variation in visa. If you read the earlier pages in this post, maraming information about bringing the family. In my case, nag Essential Skills Visa muna ako so that hubby is able to get Partnership Work Visa, and Student visas to my kids. A few months after getting Essential Skills, tsaka ako nag SMC path, siempre kasama na ang pamilya sa application na yun.

wella atekJust to clarify. This thread is for the silver fern practical experience visa. Work visa na ito katulad ng essential skills work visa. Difference lang is from silver fern job search visa yung silver fern practical experience visa. You can't compare the two (silver fern job search and esv) kasi job search visa ang isa tas yung isa work visa na talaga. If talking about the silver fern visas dapat specific. Is it the job search or is it the work visa? When you're on the silver fern job search visa, there's no way you can support (INZ 1146) the application of your family (if you want to go together) because it isn't allowed. They can come with the main applicant on a visit visa but they have to prove they are coming back. Once the job search visa holder has found a job and has changed the visa to a silver fern practical experience visa, pwede na magsama ng family. Separate application though kasi may sarili silang requirements.

hunter08 Ideal progression is this: Silver fern job search visa > job offer > silver fern practical experience work visa > SMC. If you want to something like silver fern job search visa > job offer > SMC then you have to make sure your first visa doesn't run out (only nine months). What if your SMC application onshore takes longer? You will have to apply for a work visa if your first visa is close to running out. If you'll find the appropriate thread you will find out that some of those who submitted their ITA in July still doesn't have a CO now. Mas matagal na yung process ngayon. Why do you want to skip the work visa?

Hi po to all!
Isang malupit na tanong lang po galing po kay hubby na nasa NZ na...Nakapagpasa na po sya ng application for Practical Experience Visa and nag-email po sa kanya yung Immigration Officer, asking for an update/report/test/letter regarding po sa BP nya...Sa medical po kasi nya, naka-indicate yung maintenance medication nya for High Blood Pressure...Ask lang po nya kung kailangan pa ba kumuha ng bagong e-medical or kung pwede na kaya sa GP...Thank you po sa mga sasagot...

dsdgel this one should be for the medical thread Di po need na new medical, he only needs to do the further tests (or kung anong instruction) with the immigration clinic if they would allow that or with a GP. Dito sa Chch Pinoy yung nurse sa immigration clinic so I was able to do my further tests with them. Although if you can pass your medical na surely flying colours (no issues or comments, no declared meds), I would do the full one.
