I just can't imagine the agony mag-antay ng 18 months and wala pa din status, it was already hard enough for me noon for 4 months. Tapos ngaun may priority pa sila nalalaman. Nag announce sila ng occupations treated as exceptions, iaaprove kaya nila lahat un. I mean sa Child care worker and Personal Care assistant pa lang aapaw na cguro ung yearly quota and capacity nila. I don't down play the skills its vital and important most of my friends applied thru that pathway now pero sana pinagaralan muna nila maigi. What they should have done is mag lagay ng condition be working for certain number of years 1st cguro 3-5 years then PR na lang agad hindi na need ng RV. Ngaun over flowing na rin ung other pathways kawawa nman talaga. Back to topic I just got the message my friend got their RV today. T think 4-5 months naging timeline nila Covid in between. |

I think 2nd week of March nagsubmit, hindi lang ako sure. Team AP seems like it na priority nga since March lang nagsubmit may CO na, Most likely next week meron ng result yan. |

Hi everyone,
Just offering a bit of a technical explanation as to what's happening here. Most applicants don't realise this but the Government sets limits on resident visa approvals throughout a time period. This is referred to as the NZ Residence Programme (NZRP).
The current Government made significant cuts to the NZRP last year. It also announced that it was changing how the NZRP was to be managed beginning Jan 2020. Part of the changes included directly controlling the numbers by resident visa category which involves the Government prioritising some migrants over others. In the past, INZ just kept the numbers within the overall NZRP range.
The NZRP was supposed to be refreshed for 2020 but that has not happened yet. The non-priority queue is so backed up because less places were available in the NZRP the last time it was set, and it was only meant to cover approvals until 2019.
It could take a while before the Government makes decisions with the NZRP given the impacts of COVID. I wouldn't be surprised if this was put on hold until after the elections.

Pinalitan na nila ang processing time ng SMC last time ay 50% ng application will take 7 months and 75% naman 13 months ngayon 6 months and 10 months na😊

koru_ph Thanks for sharing. Familiar with the NZRP... the Immigration Minister had an interview in Feb that they would want it to be discussed before the elections——-but alas COVID-19 happened. Wonder what happened to that issue. www.newsroom.co.nz/2020/02/17/1034496/immigration-to-carry-onThing is now they are using COVID-19 as the reason for the delays when it’s been the issue probably for half a year then before COVID-19 happened. In a year they only moved 10 days’ worth of SMC lodgements. Fortunately I still have my job... one less problem to worry about—-yet does nothing to lessen my anxiety. Now COVID-19 has happened we’re nowhere nearer to the residency goal. Too tired to be always affected by the immigration changes... we’re just numbers to them and not actual human lives.

Nasa March na po sila sa prio queue. Yesterday po may nagpost sa Migrants NZ fb page na non prio naglodge last May 2019 naapprove po kahapon. Filipina si ate kaya nakakatuwa lang kasi umuusad na ang non prio queue.

Hello everyone Kumusta na kayo. Hindi nakapag log-in sobrang daming ganap sa life. OMG ganun na ba katagal ang processing ng Residency ngayon? Dati parang I felt ang tagal na nung sa amin. Congratulations ajinnzed. divhon matagal din pala yung nangyari sa inyo.. parang over two years? allune I have always thought na RV na status mo. sobrang grabeng hirap na mag RV -- hindi lang points kalaban mo pati $$ pa. Ang taas kaya ng priority $. my friend who has also been here since 2015 na naka WV from student siya dati .. mukhang uuwi soon so nakakalungkot talaga. Yung isang kakilala ko naka 3 apply na sa partnership visa eh dati na siya andito -- nasa Pinas pa din hindi makabalik kasi wala pa progress mga applications Kapit lang and mauubos din nila yang RV backlog na yan. Hopefully marami good news after with a new Immigration MInister as Former immigration minister Iain Lees-Galloway is out now |

Hi guys! I'm just reaching but meron bang may idea or guess kung kelan ulit mag open ang EOI selection?
Ready to go na yung application namin, Submit button nalang but hindi pa namin magawa kasi what if tumagal pa ng additional 6 months ung suspension of EOI, sayang lang yung bayad.
