Question po regarding sa NBI Clearance, I secured and got one sa Pinas before ako pumunta dito sa NZ which was issued last July 2016 and valid for a year. I found a permanent job and applied for a work visa last November 2016. As one of the requirements of INZ is Police Certificate from the country of origin which is at least 6 months old, so valid pa yung NBI Celarance ko during that time of application. But then, I submitted my EOI and got selected. ITA issued this month lang. Will I need to submit a new NBI Clearance again when I lodge my SMC application which is probably by April/May. Although valid pa yung nasubmit ko na sa INZ nuon pero more than 6 months. Please advise kung may naka experience na. Thanks.

dhyzer ang alam ko may nabasa ako na ganyan ang case sa pinoykiwi. Tumawag siya sa immigration hotline ang sabi pwede daw. But then pagdating sa CO humingi ng bagong NBI Clearance. Hanapin ko lang saglit.

dhyzer Eto pala yung nabasa ko from champrats champrats, nung nabanggit mo na expired na yung NBI Clearance mo. 6 months or 1 year? "Note: Before ko po i-submit ung ITA ko, I went to INZ Wellington branch to confirm if I can submit my application for the mean time because my SG police clearance was set to expire by September 2016 and my NBI clearance was already expired. Sabi po ng INZ help desk from Wellington branch, pwede ko na daw po ipasa kasi meron na po silang copy nung NBI clearance ko and they mentioned that it is valid for a year from the time I submitted my first visa application (Additional note: I already submitted an application before for my Work Visa - Essential Skills kaya po may record na sila sa akin). And then after a few days of my submission, may tumawag na officer sa akin and she told me na expired na daw po ung NBI clearance ko and she will return the application. I mentioned to her na pumunta ako ng INZ Wellington Branch na sinabi sa akin na pwede ko na daw ipasa since may record na sila sa akin; pero sabi nung officer na for SMC application, ibang application kasi ung SMC vs. Work Visa - Essential Skills. I just told her I have requested a new NBI clearance and I will send it once available."

magikero , May FAQ na sinend sa kin yung INZ kasama ng ITA, eto yung part regarding dun sa previously submitted police certificate medyo naguguluhan lang ako: Q: I have provided police certificate (s) in previous applications. Do I have to submit these again?
A: If your previously submitted police certificate is less than 6 months old on the date you submit your new application, you do not need to re-submit a new one. For example, if a police certificate was issued on 01 January 2015, you are not required to submit a new one as long as your application is successfully lodged by 01 July 2015; from 02 July 2015 onwards, you will need to submit a new certificate. This applies to every police certificate you are required to submit.

I believe you need to request a new NBI clearance. You mentioned above you applied for a work visa on November 2016 and then let's say you submitted your ITA on January 2017. This case you don't need to request a new NBI clearance because the you submitted your application during the validity period of your NBI clearance. But if you will submit your ITA by February 2017, you will need to request a new one. If nag submit ka ng ITA during nung validity period ng NBI clerance mo, hindi mo na kailangan mag request ng bagong NBI clearance. If nag submit ka ng ITA during nung paso na ang NBI clearance mo, kailangan mo mag request ng panibagong NBI clearance. Yung case ko kasi, January 2016 ung NBI clearance ko and then nag submit ako ng ITA on September 2016. So expired na sya kaya pina request ako ng INZ officer ng panibagong NBI clearance. And the officer told me na for SMC application, it's a different application from Work Visa - Essential Skills therefore I need to submit an updated police clearance from Philippines. Mas meticulous sila pagdating sa SMC application. I hope these helps!

Ah ok gets ko na champrats, so expired na yung NBI clearance mo as per INZ requirement na at least 6 months old from the date of issue kahit na may record ka na sa kanila from your previous application. Hindi siya yung validity ng NBI clearance itself na 1 year after issuance. Cheers.

Sa tingin ko, if I submitted my ITA application before my NBI clearance expires, I think they will accept it. But to be sure, if applying for a residency, make sure to have a valid police clearances.

champrats Medyo problema ko yan dun sa isang country kung saan ako nagwork ng 2 years. Next to impossible kasi ang pagkuha ng police clearance sa kanila lalo na ngayon na wala ako duon. Though nakakuha ako bago ako umalis. Sana may same case ako dito tungkol sa police clearance.

I emailed INZ and it's confirmed, I really need to secure and submit a new NBI Clearance as my previously submitted clearance is more than 6 months old already when I'm going to lodge my smc application.
