Needed ba yung health insurance pag nasa immigration na? kailan siya ippresent at kanino? Thanks. Hindi siya hinanap ng immig in my case. Pero if i am being asked, i STRONGLY encourage na kumuha bago pumunta dito (no change that to DAPAT kumuha) kasi aside from required talagang kumuha ng 1yr insurance prior to entering NZ, mahal magkasakit and maaksidente dito. 1yr coverage is (max)30k pesos for Southern Cross if comprehensive - mas mura if basic. Yong ibang provider mas mura. Straight forward siya (refer to their site), kung anong rate nakalagay sa website, yun ang babayaran tapos if non-nz card gamit syempre mas lugi since may forex pa, and note na mi 1kphp na bawas nung ginamit ko ang credit card ng bpi (hindi akin), i am not sure para saang fee to. I am happy meron ako kasi i have peace of mind here.. nzdream, apologies if i misread your question. I just wanted to stress out to everybody here how important it is to have it ready before coming here..

Thanks Cob123 for answering her query. Sige we'll refer to your recommendation kapag may nagtanong. Will create a separate thread for this.

Anyone who has tried na kumuha ng claims sa Orbit Protect? Okay naman po ba? Covered yung meds and hospitalisation, etc right? Thank you. (Worried lang magkasakit sa Nz, lalo na sabi ng friend ko they spent $1,100 for dental prescription sa kapatid nya!) Mukang mura na yung sa Orbit Protect. $328 for 1 year kasama na baggage insurance.

amanda dental procedures usually aren't covered in insurances. Parang add-on lang siya palagi. Anyway, read the fine print before paying so you'll know what is covered and what isn't.

I don't mean the dental procedure. But the prescriptions (meds). I don't really plan to do anything with my teeth there. I was just making an example of how costly the medicines are in nz. And yep, have read the insurance policy. Just want to know if anyone has experienced filing a claim already and if they can share their experience Edit: Thanks for pointing out re: dental though. Now I've listed this: Have teeth cleaned before leaving for NZ. Mahirap na mabulukan ng ngipin sa nz.

Ano po mga available travel insurances aside from BLUE CROSS, SOUTHERN CROSS and ORBIT PROTECT?
Online lang po ba lahat maa-avail?

Hi. Orbit protect insurance ko. I'm in a hospital now and I'm sure this will cost a lot. Is it ok not to pay the hospital yet until orbit protect pays me? Or do they usually just pay after you've paid it yourself?

aBiSh @admin that must be it. And they had to keep me there even though I was asking if I could go home earlier already haha. Yeah ok naman na now. Just need to make sure I keep myself warm. Binigyan na ko heater ng landlord. Just needed to be hospitalised to prove that I'm worthy.

@emina few months before I left ph. You could buy one now if you like so you wouldn't have to think about it later on. Or maybe just in July if you like.

Tanong lang po if meron existing health insurance pero hindi from the provider na nababanggit dito. Pwede na po kaya yun? As long as pwede magamit sa NZ? Tia
