annabanana yes 1year lang. Although if you look at the website of ntec it says 2years. But they recognise prior studies kasi so they offered it to me for a year lang din. Oh btw, I learned from another student here na yung agency nya may bayad. I won't mention na lang which one, pero better if you go through an agency or educational counsellor or whatever they prefer to call themselves, ask them straight out. applet445566 yes, hindi lahat nirequire ng INZ mag FTS. Ako hindi ako pinag FTS. It all depends case to case based on financial capacity and availability of the funds to the student, and not based on school. From what I understand, they will require FTS kapag hindi sure yung INZ na the money you showed on paper (bank accounts, etc) will be readily available to you. Hindi lang sa amount, but would it be available to you. But if say, other relatives or even sponsors na hindi relatives, yun daw usually ang nirerequire mag FTS. But again, not all cases. Case to case basis talaga. I'm enrolled at ntec, diploma level 7 po.

kelmanuel thank you po sa reply. I understand po na 15k ay is for living cost allowance. For now, gusto ko po muna I sort out yung $15k na show money.

No one wants to undergo FTS, you can't control it anyway. I find it a good a good and a bad thing. Good because you are secured financially, you can survive monthly even if you don't have a job. Bad because it's such a big amount of money to produce on top of the tuition fee.

sasagutin ko yung sarili kong tanong for the benefit of others haha pagdating nyo dito kailangan nyo makipagappointment sa bank to setup your account, yung appointment depends on how busy they are, mine took 4 days from the day na nakipagset ako ng appointment, others took a week or two. once naactivate na yung account nyo eh pwede na magwidthraw.
so pag naka fts ka wag ka makampante na may pera ka pagdating mo agad, bring baon na maglalast for 2 weeks to be safe
and suggestion ko if you can afford FTS then do it by all means, hindi ganon kadali humanap ng work dito (sa auckland), mahirap yung nasa ibang bansa ka tapos maalanganin ka.

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since the last time i posted something. Finally, my student visa application has been approved in principle , however i was subjected for FTS. Luckily, i found a thread for this one, I back read already from the first post to the last, but i still have further enquiry I am hoping that if anybody who has an idea or experienced the same as mine, your comment/suggestions will be highly appreciated. So here it goes, upon receiving the letter from my visa officer forwarded by Fortrust Philippines yesterday, I sent immediately a scanned form of ANZ enquiry for FTS, i waited the whole day for a reply but there was none. Then this morning i tried submitting an online form enquiry at the ANZ website and poof an automatic electronic mail was sent to me stating that they'll get back to me after 2 working days. To those who experienced FTS how many days does it usually take for the ANZ bank respond? Should I open an account with them online even without the response of ANZ for my query? Also, if in case I activated my account already in NZ upon my arrival, is it okay to withdraw the allowed money for the month which is $1250. And maybe transfer it to an ASB account that i will open since ASB is my bank of choice. hehe. Any thoughts on this guys? Thanks in advance.

Hello Pinoy Kiwi enthusiast!
I just wanted to know your past experiences and thoughts about the minimum acceptable proof of funds that would most likely to be accepted by INZ officer. Suppose the tuition fee is around 31,850 NZD + 15,000 NZD living allowance, it equates to 46,850 NZD which is roughly 1.5M php.
To further detail, the history of my account shows "consistent deposit" per month and the source of deposited money came from my salary. This savings over a period of almost a year (from Feb 2015) has a sum of 1.5M which is just exactly equal to the required tuition and living allowance. If this will be presented in your bank account (e.g. total of 1.5M php) will it be acceptable or you have to provide a bit over (say 1.6 to 1.7M)? Normally, will this result for FTS requirement or depends on the officer's evaluation?
Thank you for your anticipated response.

jay22 I think it depends on the evaluation because I have a 1.2m on my account but had to be on FTS and my batchmate has only about 900k but hindi siya nag FTS. But honestly as a student, I think it's better to have FTS so you won't have to be worried about money while you're stressing with school and looking for a part time work, unless of course nahiram mo lang yung some money like most students para ipakita lang sa immigration.

Yung sa akin, na under ako ng FTS ( by the way Feb intake ako, 2016 at Waiariki ).

Guys don't fear FTS. here are some food for the thoughts para saten. Nung pagdating ko dito last July USD 1,200 lang seed money ko and fortunately nasustain ko naman up to now na hindi nako nanghingi pa, mga USD 900 lang nagamit ko in a month then snuwerte nagkawork nako after a month. So can you imagine if na FTS din ako then monthly binibigay ung FTS ko wla nako ginagawa kung hindi hinuhulog ko lang pabalik sa pinas ung pera. (I have a friend pagdating niya dito winithdraw niya raw lahat ng FTS niya then binalik niya sa India 1 month lang din nakahanap na siya ng work. ewan ko lang kung totoo nagawa niya un pero cool ung friend ko na un he won't lie to me ng ganun lang). ung sa pinay ko naman na friend 6 months pa lang siya naibigay na sa kanya lahat nf FTS niya so ngaun natutulog lang pera sa account niya, ang problema naman puro kiwi bf ang inaatupag at tamad maghanap ng work so unti unti nauubos FTS niya, well ok lang un anak mayaman naman un. so bottom line eh kung need ka ma FTS sugal na pati pato at panangulo kasi malamang naman sa panalo dito... Sorry medyo matagal na yung post, jan 2017 pa naman ang intake ko but I would like to ask base on this post kung kaya ka isurvive ng part time job ang cost of living as a student? May idea po ba kayo how much ang earnings ng student na may part time job and expense nya weekly or monthly? TIA

most likely talaga nirerequire ung FTS sa mga students. nakita ko ung sponsorship form parang close relative lang ung andun. ung friend ko kasi biniro ako na sponsoran ko sya sa pagpunta nya dito. unfortunately kakasponsor ko lang sa mommy ko for a visitor visa. saka un nga di pede kaibigan, close relative dapat. im not sure if it works for uncles, aunties, etc. ung 2 housemates ko na students dito, ng FTS ung isa, ung isa naman hinde. pareho silang walang relatives dito. ung isang walang FTS, kasama nya yung hubby nya pagpunta dito as visitor naman who eventually landed on a job in Christchurch. not sure kung dahil sa show money na pinakita nila like land titles, properties, etc. ang alam ko mejo well off sila sa pinas. and Yolanda victims nga pala sila as in directly hit un lugar nila and I heard parang naawa din ung officer during interview ksi isa sa reason nila un bakit gusto nila lumipat dito. probably naging factor din yun na wala silang FTS? it all depends pa din on the officer. saka ung nga monthly naman mawiwithdraw ung FTS. they just want to make sure na gagamitin un to support ur stay here. grabe ang laking pera nga nsa 1M plus including tuition fee. nakakaduling hehe Possible po pala na kahit si hubby ay naka visit visa lang, possible makakuha ng work kahit hindi pa finish ng studies yung principal applicant?

skyprincess yung part time kasi natin as a student means we can work 20 hours per week lang. If based on the current minimum wage, It would be enough for your weekly rents and food and transpo allowance actually more than enough pa kung hindi ka naman magastos. And about your partner, I reckon it's possible kung may magssponsor sakanya na employer for a work visa, but if visit visa lang hawak niya he can't really work dito. And mukhang mababa yung chances na may mag sponsor sakanya since may mga job seekers naman dito na may valid work permit. But then again, sometimes it's luck. Practically speaking if you don't have enough money to sustain your stay here na visit visa si partner and student visa ka and you have financial responsibilities sa pinas, I suggest na don't risk it and wait till you finish your course.

iamanne thank you sa reply. It's good to know na at least what will you be getting on part time job is enough to meet your daily needs, and siguro lalo na if full time work pa. But i also read some horror stories that some students are struggling to the point na they're having 1 meal a day lang so may slight confusion ako dun

Hi,

Freedom account is yung account na pwede mong gamitin anytime you want.

*much better ba na 2-3 yung sponsor like parents plus brother and/or sister? Malaki ba chance di ma-fts pag ganun?
*aside from bank account/statement? Pwede ba I-present yung land titles, business permits etc. under their names?
|
|
|
Post by koru_ph on Feb 3, 2016 20:31:22 GMT 12
jeriatrix best possible way is to have the money set aside and parked in a bank account waaaaaay in advance. Technically speaking, if you are sponsored you can only have 1 sponsor. Sponsors are different from financial guarantors. You can have multiple financial guarantors.
